How many buy to let mortgages can I have?

There’s no limit on the number of buy to let mortgages that any one person can hold.

We have many clients that have over 10 properties in their portfolio and a few that have more than 50!

If you have 4 or more buy to let mortgages you will be classed as a portfolio landlord. This means that the underwrtiting criteria gets a bit tougher and you will need to provide more information than normal.

Each lender will have their own limits on what they will lend a single borrower, across many properties.
